Evec VEC01 EV Charger – Fully Installed from £799
The Evec VEC01 is one of the UK’s most affordable smart EV chargers, making it an ideal choice for budget-conscious homeowners who want reliable, no-fuss charging.
It delivers 7.4kW fast charging in a clean, compact unit — designed to blend into any driveway or garage setup. The VEC01 is an untethered charger, which means you use your own charging cable — great if you want flexibility or a tidier look.
Despite its price, it doesn’t compromise on features. The unit connects via Wi-Fi and is managed through the Evec smartphone app, where you can schedule charging, track energy usage, and adjust settings remotely.
The VEC01 also includes built-in PEN fault protection, so there’s no need for an earth rod — helping keep installation costs and complexity to a minimum.
Compatible with both Type 1 and Type 2 EVs, and OZEV grant eligible if you meet the criteria, this charger punches well above its weight in value and performance.
